In my first job as a flight attendant, travel was obviously required. Even when I stopped flying, I wanted to continue traveling. I achieved that goal when I became a corporate event planner. But since I have always enjoyed learning about American history, the destinations I had in mind tended to lean more and more toward the people, places and events that formed the fabric of our country.
I wanted to know what happened, where it happened and why—and have fun while I looked for the answers. Hence the idea for “Travel Into History,” because I know there are others out there who think the way I do about this combination—and want to know how best to act on it.
